Family Vacation

The property is amazing! The property is amazing! We were very fortunate to have met the owner, Shannon, upon our arrival. She helped us get into the home and was very welcoming. The home is as advertised. Very well decorated, very spacious, very clean, had every appliance, including washer and dryer, and accessory (ice maker) you could possibly need, mini split a/c in every room, lots of spices, coffee…etc…wonderful. The home is just steps from the pool and beach. The grounds keepers are constantly working around the already beautiful property and we saw them cleaning and skimming the pool daily. Because we’ve been to the island before we never had to contact or speak to the property manager, Alex, but he was attentive to our requests prior to arrival. He recommended a chef, Gaby, who came in and cooked the most amazing meals several nights during our stay. Definitely will use her again!! The pier on the property was a plus and we booked several trips where the boat was able to pick us up the pier. We’re regulars to island and hope to definitely book this home again. Everything was perfect!!

Everything about this beach house was an absolute dream, and we are already scheming on how to get back to it. The house is in a gated community a little more off the beaten path in Cozumel, about 15-20 minutes south of San Miguel town center. There is ample parking (covered and other), and you are immediately greeted by security in a covered palapa, who can assist with luggage, taxi calls, and other questions. The beach house itself is just steps away from an AMAZING infinity pool and pier that juts out into the ocean water. Our three kids (tween/teens) loved snorkeling right off the pier - they saw plenty of tropical fish and one nice barracuda.

The house itself was stocked with just about everything you could possibly need - towels, snorkeling gear, sand toys, sunscreen, bug spray, laundry detergent, kitchen spices, tea/coffee, even a "take some/leave some" alcohol cabinet! Everyone was in awe with how spacious the house was laid out, and our teenager was especially pleased to have her own room that was "decorated exactly how she would decorate her dream beach house." (High praise, indeed!)

Shannon (owner/manager) helped us with any questions we had and set us up with the most amazing snorkeling excursion we could have asked for. Be sure to ask her to hook you up with Clemente - he not only takes you out to the best snorkeling sites, but he makes a darn good ceviche/pico/guacamole while you are out there. He was especially amazing with our son - on the autistic spectrum - who needed a bit of encouragement to feel comfortable with the outing. Couldn't have asked for a more amazing trip.

Really, our only complaint was that we had to leave. We couldn't recommend this place more!!!!

Weve Gone Coastal is the ultimate place to relax. You will have an inviting view of the Caribbean from your deck chair and while swimming in the oversized infinity pool. Jeff and Shannon’s home has luxurious sleeping accommodations within its three bedrooms and a kitchen which had all we needed and more. The decor draws your eyes to view and enjoy. Their home is surrounded by beds of local colorful flora which birds are attracted to all day long. We will be back as we plan to make this a yearly get away!

What can we say about We've Gone Coastal except: Glorious piece of paradise!! Recently spent 10 days here to celebrate our 20th anniversary, and we can't wait to go back!!

The most important: the home! Maybe 30 to 40 steps of the most beautiful clear waters! The sunsets are fantastic and worth watching every single day! Very relaxing and great community. Security helps you with all things like taxis, etc. Definitely the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation!

Bedrooms: very comfortable beds and spaces! Definitely an upgrade from a typical hotel or AirBnB.

Amenities: it had everything. Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with all the basic needs. Basic water gear for snorkeling or hanging at the infinity pool.

Connections: visit the very helpful website to plan. We never had to visit another website to plan anything! And Shannon and Jeff were so incredibly helpful and the best hosts we've had on vacation! It had everything we needed from taxi driver info, the best restaurants, and contacts for excursions. Clemente was fantastic and really took care of us on excursions. Best part: if you're doing a water excursion he picks you up at the private pier on property! Hire Chef Gabriela to cook - her food is delicious and she is very sweet!

If you're thinking about going here just book it. You won't be disappointed!! This will be our annual trip/location going forward!

Amazing place

We are not travelers at all and felt very out out of our comfort zone doing this, but got reassured all the way through the process and could not have asked for it to be any better!! The house is extremely comfortable and staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location could not be more perfect for those who want to experience relaxation and beach time without crowds of people. I would definitely recommend everyone experience this amazing place!! Excellent location

We just got back from our fun vacation! This home is lovely, the neighbors all kind, the staff amazing (we got a flat and they were so helpful without even asking…plus the kids loved having fresh coconuts by the pool), the home is clean and has many “extras” - for example: kitchen essentials like spices, oils, coffee, peanut butter etc; snorkel equipment; pool floats; shampoo/body wash; extra throw blankets; sunscreen/bug spray. The island itself was so welcoming and we had many adventures. No one in our group dives - which is a huge draw for many visiting Cozumel - but we found the location of the property excellent for chartering fishing boats, watching the sunsets, soaking up the sun. Easy drive (or taxi) into town. Owner so quick and responsive with the few questions we had while on-site. Glad we chose Cozumel and this home for our family vacation.

My 3 friends and I thoroughly enjoyed this house! It's beautiful, clean and open with lots of space. The house is well stocked - we stayed 10 days and only ate out for 2 dinners and 2 lunches. All the beds are very comfy and it was way more than enough room for 4 people (we could have had a few more friends). We'd stayed at Costa Del Sol before and like this house the best. The property around the house is so gorgeous - cheers to the grounds maintenance crew who are always working on it. We love having the private pool and beach for only Costa Del Sol folks and the dock is key if you are diving - can't beat being picked up by the boat only yards from your door. Highly recommend this property and also Jungle Divers if you're diving (which the owner recommended). Thanks to all who made our stay so awesome!!!

Enjoyable Stay

Very nice house just off the beach. Clean and spacious. The keypad door lock was very convenient, and the filtered water throughout the house was a real plus. The owners were readily available for communication before the trip, and Alex, the guest manager was equally available while we were there. Costa del Sol is a very nice property, we have stayed here several times.

Absolutely Perfect!

We could not be more pleased with our stay at We’ve Gone Coastal. The only inaccuracy from the listing is that it says 10 min walk to the beach and it is 2! The layout of the home is perfect and all the amenities you would want in a home are there- no need to purchase one time use items at the grocery store. We were lucky enough to meet Shannon and Jeff and they provided us with great recommendations!

Our in house masseuse, Anita was excellent and Clemente with Go Tour Cozumel took us on an epic 1/2 day tour of snorkeling, exploring and ceviche! My only regret was that we didn't book a Cantina hopping tour with him!

We went diving a few days with our boys and now see why Cozumel has such a great reputation for diving. So close to land and truly amazing- they even picked us up at the pier on our beach! Wonderful restaurants just a short drive away. Every restaurant recommendation Shannon and Jeff gave was fabulous. The book they leave at their home has all the info you will need for your visit plus more! We have already recommended We've Gone Coastal to friends and we will be back!

Friends Trip

We took a couples trip with friends to Cozumel and stayed at We’ve Gone Coastal! The property grounds are beautiful and well maintained. When you arrive, there is a guard at the entrance to help you get to the house and carry your luggage. It was very nice to have them available to answer questions, coordinate a taxi and give us food advice. The house is gorgeous and was perfect for our group of 4. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so we had room for more guests. There’s also a cute fold out couch in the dining room area that could comfortably sleep 1-2 more guests. The interior is decorated with a very coastal feel and the beds are super comfortable. Each room has its own air conditioning which is nice when traveling with a group that may have different temp preferences. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed. The owner connected us with a grocery delivery person so we had drinks, snacks and extras when we arrived! Sitting on the back patio at night or in the morning with a cup of coffee was so relaxing and just what we wanted for a getaway! It’s a very short walk to the pool that is very large and perfect for standing with an adult beverage watching the sunset over the ocean. It’s like a post card scene! There’s a great beach area with chairs to sit and relax and a private pier where you can walk out to look at fish, snorkel or have a boat pick you up for an outing. We did a private snorkel trip that the owner recommended that was fantastic! We didn’t dive this trip but the owner is a diver and has great recommendations if needed. Overall the accommodations were perfect, location wonderful and we would definitely stay here again!

Friendcation

Where to start?! Took a cab to the house. The front gate people loaded up our luggage and carted us to the front door. We entered into a white, shiny, mermaid paradise!!! The 3 bedrooms are spacious and bathrooms are great! We were pleased to find that you could see the ocean water and the Infiniti pool from the patio. We swam, snorkeled in front of the condos and we’re really excited when our booked snorkel trip picked us up right off the dock! The entire trip was one for the books.

Jeff and Shannon are amazing hosts who really know how to make a home away from home as well as fantastic suggestions for everything island! We are already thinking about when we can go back with even more friends! Thanks so much!!!

This was our 3rd trip here!

Every time seems better than the last. The house is always spotless and the grounds are always well-manicured. There is also always quality shampoos, lotions and sunscreen available for us in the house at no extra cost. Shannon seems to always be available when we send a message to her looking for local recommendations.

We dove 4 days while we were here and again dove with Dive With Julio. This guy is amazing with putting us on fantastic marine life.

We can’t wait for our next trip here and thanks to Shannon we don’t want to ever stay in a different house other than We’ve Gone Coastal.

We Loved This Place!

We spent 4 nights here for my niece’s senior trip. The house was perfect! Great location and the house had everything we needed. Getting picked up at the pier for fishing, etc. was super convenient. We didn’t spend as much time by the pool as I would have liked to, but the time spent there was great! Very quiet, family atmosphere. Zero complaints! Would definitely stay here again!

Home Away From Home

My family and I have stayed at Costa del Sol several times, but this was our first stay at We've Gone Coastal and hopefully not our last. The villa was excellent. From the moment we arrived, we could tell that a lot of effort was put into the little touches that make this place special. The house was stocked with items that, in my experience, other villas tend to skimp on, which offered comfortability. The house is beautifully decorated and had ample space for our family. It is positioned adjacent to the main walkway with quick access to the pool, beach, and front entrance. For technology lovers, it also had reliable Wi-Fi and access to Alexa, music, and TV apps. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Perfection!

Shannon’s place is the best vacation rental we have had and we are regular vacation home renters. It’s super clean and is a great place. It’s in a small number of homes in Costa Del Sol, a gated community clustered around a common pool, beach and a pier. It’s quiet and steps from the beach & pool. The home is spacious and very well equipped with 3 bedroom suites (each with its own bath), large fully equipped kitchen, family room and dining room. Full laundry is great to have. Shannon provided us with additional options and all were great. Be sure to take her up on the chef, massage and the snorkel tour. Clemente with Go Tour Cozumel took us on a private snorkel tour and picked us up at our pier - no driving to town or dealing with the cruise ship crowds and less expensive than the large boat tours.

We love this coastal community of Costa Del Sol

and have stayed here many times, this was our first time at Shannon & Jeff's place and we really enjoyed " We've Gone Coastal Cozumel " villa. The home is well appointed and a clear pride of ownership is evident. It is spacious, comfortable and sparkling clean. It is decorated very cute with a beach theme and we really LOVED having an "Alexa" to play music in almost every room. I didn't do any cooking but kitchen seemed well stocked. Shannon has thought of all the little things that take the vacation experience over the top, with a lovely welcome surprise, plenty of soaps/trash bags/laundry supplies etc. The house is situated far enough away from the pool as to not hear the pool noise but still only steps away to the pool and pier. Would book again!

We had a great family vacation in Cozumel!!
Overall, the house and accommodations were great. Alex (property manager) was cordial and helpful. The place was clean, and everything worked well. Not having to worry about purified water (UV Filtered) was a pleasantly unexpected feature! Everyone enjoyed the house, and there were enough separate spaces and common spaces to allow everyone to do their own thing or hang out together, respectively.
Shannon's recommendation to use Jungle Divers Cozumel was great. There is a dock right on property were you can get picked up for multiple types of excursions (snorkeling, diving, deep sea fishing, etc.) which is super convenient. We caught barracuda and mahi-mahi, which provided us with fried fish and fresh ceviche for dinner several nights. Kids also had fun snorkeling with the provided gear (another nice feature) right off the doc and saw squid and tropical fish.
Community pool is nice and provides a comfortable place to enjoy the evenings' spectacular sunsets. Thanks again for allowing us to stay at your place!

It's beautiful! The house is well-equipped with kitchen-ware, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, hair dryers, Amazon prime/Netflix, etc and tons of room! There's a grill out back and a nice pool on site. There's tons of information both on We've Gone Coastal's website and in a notebook at the rental for activities as well as practical tips. The host was responsive and helpful, and you can tell they love this spot. The guys at the gate were awesome. They helped us get cabs and also secured a scooter rental for us.

Just a note - people seemed to appreciate US cash and there are no ATM's close to the Villa. Have plenty of cash on hand for tipping, cabs, small vendors and miscellaneous things that might come up. If you need more, there are ATMs in town that will dispense US dollars at both Chedraui Grocery & Mega, where you can also get some groceries.

Once you stock up on groceries (which can be bought in-store or delivered) & the adult beverages of your choice, you could easily stay on-site if you are looking for that home away from home staycation.

The off-beach snorkeling was amazing - we saw the most fish at The Money Bar & went back for the music at night. We also booked a boat snorkel trip with Clemente at GoTour Cozumel and his wife, Isla took us out and she was wonderful, as was the whole crew. They provide snorkel gear. I really wanted to book a massage, but we were there for a short trip and ran out of time.
The "wild" side (undeveloped east coast) was beautiful. If you're on scooter and traveling in a hot month like we were, it's going to be a hot ride. We went to Coconuts in the middle of the day & there was no breeze and everyone was just feeling that heat & humidity. If you're in a car, you'll have no problem.

Two more tips - for off-beach snorkeling, bring water shoes and your own fins if more than 2 people will be going. We've Gone Coastal had 2 sets of fins to use and they are good ones - both my size 7 and hub's size 12 were able to use them. If you forget shoes, Chedraui Grocery will have some. You can buy all sorts of things there - groceries, pharmacy, swim wear, fabric - it was amazing.

“The house was perfect for our trip to Cozumel”.

Its owner served as a kind-of travel coordinator to help us have the best trip possible. This is not your typical Airbnb experience, it is so much more! First the house. The house is perfectly situated in a gated community with ocean front views about 20 min from the airport, 10 min from downtown and in the middle of all the major parks. With the ocean and pool being steps away from the front door, excursions picking us up directly from the pier, and a front concierge that called us taxis- it offered the views and amenities of a resort and the privacy and intimacy of an Airbnb. The perfect combo! It has all the extra supplies you need for a getaway: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, towels, beach towels, bug spray, wifi. My boyfriend worked every day for a couple hours of the day and he never had an issue with his connection. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, and dishes, blender. We got food at the mega grocery store Shannon recommended for breakfast and lunches and then went with Shannon's recommendations for dinners out.

Second, The pool is an experience for itself. An infinity pool with ocean views. It was the perfect way to spend every moment of the day. Morning coffee and breakfast poolside, afternoons laying out, watching the ocean and all the boats, or catching the sunset at on the way out to dinner to set the tone for a romantic evening. The pool/ocean is a focal point. The people who live in the other villas are so welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed hanging out with them at the pool. On days we wanted alone time, they seemed to be aware and let us be. It was so nice to feel like we had friends there to chat with or get more recommendations from but was also able to have so many intimate and romantic moments swimming in the pool, watching the sunset or laying out. Sometimes it was lively, music jamming lots of people and other times it was like having a private pool to ourselves. We enjoyed waking to the pier and could see barracuda, parrot fish and trigger fish.

Lastly, Shannon. She was so helpful in helping us plan our trip, giving us dining and excursion recommendations, even setting us up with excursions and securing us a masseuse who came to the house every day. She didn't charge us anything for the extra help or take any commissions as someone would usually do. And we really appreciated her sharing all of her knowledge of the island and things to do from a genuine place of her just wanting us to have the best trip possible. Her love for the island life is evident in the house and in the services she offers. She was available to us in the weeks prior to our trip and from the minute we landed. We had a few questions when we landed and she answered them quickly. She set us up with a masseuse who came to the house every day. She was $35 for 1 hour and $45 for 90 minutes! And it was the best massage me and my boyfriend had ever had, and I'm very hard to please with massages because I like very deep tissue. The masseuse was awesome at providing me and my boyfriend with what we each needed. We paid the masseuse in American dollars and then tipped. Shannon also set us with Clemente and Isla who own Go Tour Cozumel. They have the best energy and made the excursion so fun. They picked us up at the pier for a half day snorkeling adventure and we went to all the best snorkeling spots. Isla made us the best drinks on the boat, made fresh guacamole and ceviche and then had lobster and steak on the beach of a private island. Afterwards, they dropped us off back at the pier and walked straight to the pool and jumped in. It was so convenient being picked up and dropped off at the pier in front of the house. We were looking at doing Chankanaab or another day park like I have before but this was the best choice by far! We can't wait to join them for another tour the next we go to the house, maybe a water one or a cantina tour they told us about.

We are already trying to figure out dates to return because the trip was so easy and so much fun!”

Great Mom’s Weekend Away

“This was such an amazing place to stay! We had a mom's weekend away and it worked so well for our group of 6. So much space in the house and tons of great light. Large, 3 bathrooms and 5 beds had us all feeling very comfortable. Air conditioning worked great. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you may need. The pool and beach are within view and just steps away. The gated access with onsite security was so helpful to ask questions or help call a taxi. We loved having the dock and being picked up for a scuba diving shop. The house is equipped with lots of snorkel gear, towels, hammocks - it truly is a home away from home. We feel very lucky to have stayed here.”

“The stay at the cute and spacious casita A4 was a dream come true! If you’re looking for a somewhat secluded, yet readily-accessible vacation rental, you’ve found it! Costa del Sol is a thoughtfully designed complex with a community pool, private beach, and its own pier! It’s a scuba diver’s paradise, since you can find many dive operators who will pick you up and drop you off right from the pier. The complex’s location is perfectly situated near the middle of Cozumel’s legendary reef system on the south end of Punta Tunich Wall dive site. Seen while snorkeling in the shallow water north of the complex were trumpet fish, lobsters, grunts, sergeant majors, sea fans, corals, nudibranch, a lion fish, sea cucumber, and a shy stingray.

The 3-bedroom 3-bathroom set-up of the house was appreciated, and would work great for groups and families. The multiple air conditioners throughout allowed for flexible climate control. The kitchen was well-appointed to actually prepare and serve meals. The washer and dryer were also quite convenient. Combined with the ambiance of the Costa de Sol complex and friendly staff, the “Casa Azul” was like a wonderful dream! We would return in a heartbeat! “

Girls Trip!

“I planned a girls trip in mid May to We’ve Gone Coastal and I must say, we had the time of our lives!! This was Paradise! The convenience from the airport to the grocery store and to Casa Del Sol was perfect! We were met by friendly grounds men who took our luggage and groceries via golf cart to our villa. The keyless door entry was a plus. The inside was beautiful and spacious - we were mesmerized by the decor choices - very well done Dory! The view from our villa was exceptional and the ocean was always calling my name. She had smart TVs and speakers for entertainment - we girls danced for hours in the spacious living room...if the walls could talk...lol.

Day two, we were treated like royalty with a local personal Masseuse who came to the villa and provided an hour long massage to each of us! That evening after sunset, we had a personal chef come and prepare a four course meal for us - the food was AMAZING!

We met Rufo our taxi driver who showed us much of the island and made us feel safe wherever we went. We went snorkeling with Clemente & Isla who took us on a five hour excursion to see beautiful marine life...my favorite was the manta rays. And to finish it off, they prepared chicken, steak and lobster for dinner.

None of this would have happened had Dory not been involved, she made sure to connect us with whatever we needed during our stay! She made her paradise our paradise by providing a relaxing coastal vibe and ensuring we had everything we needed at our fingertips during our stay.”

Immaculate, very well-provisioned, and comfortable beds.
They have beach towels, paper towels, cleaning supplies, a great beach pool area, snorkel gear, a good dock that the dive boats can pick you up at. We had a great trip and it was a great place to stay.

This place is amazing!

The grounds are beautiful and the service is very accommodating. The house is very clean, spacious, and has a well stocked kitchen for cooking if you so choose. It would easily accommodate three couples or a big family, since each room has its own private bathroom. The negative edge community pool overlooking the water is basically right out the door, and the sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. A must is the snorkeling right off the community beach, we were able to see so much without going anywhere! I also must mention that while we were there the guys were trimming the trees and brought me a coconut he cut for me to drink the coconut water and the cut it in half for me to spoon out the fresh coconut, what more can you ask for!!

The short drive to town is easy, with only one road to take, but far enough from town to get out of the hustle and noise of downtown.

I can’t say enough about our stay here, it was truly paradise from the home, in house massages, and diving. I highly recommend!

“We Just got back from our second stay this year at We’ve Gone Coastal located just a few steps from the beach in Costa Del Sol community in Cozumel, Mexico. Costa Del Sol is a gated community with 24 hour security & we felt very safe there. They have a nice size infinity pool & beach area with a pier for boat pick up & drop off. They have a large roped off area for snorkeling with lots of fish & sea life. We’ve Gone Coastal is a beautiful, clean & spacious house well laid out. It has a good size kitchen area with everything you might need to prepare a meal. The kitchen, dining and living areas are very open and makes conversation and entertainment very enjoyable. The master bedroom & bathroom is big & roomy with a bath tub & separate shower. The other 2 rooms each have 2 full beds & their own bathrooms so no one has to share. We will be back soon for sure! Amazing Time!

We had an amazing time! It was beautiful, comfortable and so close to the beach and pool that we could run back to give our cocktails a refill before the ice melted! The cool floors and AC were a welcome relief from the heat when we got too much sun. The kitchen was clean had everything we needed. The bathrooms were luxurious and there were plenty of towels. Couldn’t have asked for anything more! Can’t wait to go back again!

Paradise....the home is fabulous, property is immaculate, gated and close to the pool and beach front. It is a nightly event for all to go watch the sunset each night. The only bad thing I can speak of is having to leave and go back home. You will not regret staying in this beautiful property. I was there for 2 weeks and wanting to go back.

“No crowds on the beach or pool, just a great home atmosphere. Great for kids. Awesome snorkeling right off pier as long as wind and weather is good it’s crystal clear. We seen eels, huge schools of fish as well as many species, crabs, barracuda, etc. No need to spend money on snorkel excursion. Definitely a great, safe, less costly alternative to a resort.”

“Just returned from a week in Cozumel at this beautiful home in Costa del Sol. The house was nicely appointed with beautiful marble floors, very comfortable beds and Dish TV, which was very important for our March Madness fans. The house cleaning services much appreciated. Lots to do close by for those who want to venture out of the development. Ceviche and guacamole at Skyreef, horse back riding at Mr. Sanchos, an italian feast at Guidos and street tacos and sopes at Dona Shelly's (just down the road) are all a must. This is our second stay at Costa del Sol and we will definitely be back. The property is safe with 24hr security, courteous staff and an unbeatable ocean side pool/hot tub with a great pier to snorkel off of.”

All of the local shops will pick up at the pier, and our non-diver relaxed on the beach, in the pool, in the hot-tub, everywhere. “We had a great time at Casa Del Sol” - beautiful gated community on the beach of Cozumel. The house was very well maintained. We loved the American additions--US television, US telephone and good internet service. We traveled with 9 people (2 families, 5 kids) and the house worked very well for our group. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful pool, which was only steps away from the beach. The kids swam off of the dock and it was very convenient to have a chartered boat pick us up from the dock for excursions. The view was beautiful, it looked like a postcard! \ Casa Del Sol was a short drive south of the city, and it was really nice to return to our quiet, peaceful community after a busy day in town. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful beach vacation.”

Totally great experience with this property.

Property manager guided the process well in advance and answered questions. Property is as pictured. You will find most things needed like at home but not everything. Perfect Getaway

My family had a phenomenal week. The house was super clean and inviting. It had plenty of room to be comfortable. The community was just the right size not to many people you could relax but not be so congested. And the private pier was perfect for I dive boat to pick us up. When I go back to Cozumel I will choose this place again.
