I am a beach lover and a wine lover.
Hand me a glass of wine and a charcuterie board and I am happy as a clam. I hate socks … and shoes that aren’t flip-flops, I despise the cold and have a chronic need for change and to plan the next fun thing.

Cozumel Mexico …
Exactly what we were looking for!
During the pandemic, like so many others, we began thoughtful consideration regarding what was most important in the planning for our future. After a three week trip to re-visit the island of Cozumel, we feel in love with the island and knew just where we wanted our vacation home to be, on the beautiful island of Cozumel Mexico! Of course, we were lured by some of the best scuba diving the world has to offer, the wonderful, beautiful people and majesty of this gorgeous Mexican island …
Late 2020, we decided to dive in and purchased what we named “We’ve Gone Coastal Cozumel Villa”.
As No Shoes Nation fans, we couldn’t think of a better name for our dream home than to be the named after Kenny Chesney’s song about empty nesters discovering their new life after kids,“Gone Coastal.”
Our villa vacation rental is located in the exclusive Costa Del Sol 26 home community, in the southern hotel zone of Cozumel. We loved the quietness the southern end of the island brings and being surrounded on three sides by jungle with the Caribbean ocean and pool only steps away from our patio.
At The Villa we are only about 10 minutes from town.
I love that it allows you to enjoy the quietness of the more remote end of the island but makes for a short trip for supplies in San Miguel. Our We’ve Gone Coastal Villa is also perfectly situated to explore the white sand beaches, snorkeling and beach bars along the southern and eastern coasts or “wild side” (unpopulated side) of the island.
After 3 years on the island and seeing that we see Cozumel, Mexico as our forever home, we made the decision to purchase a second We’ve Gone Coastal vacation rental. Condo.
Having a second location to share in the nightly watching of sunsets while overlooking the crystal blue Caribbean waters, perched over the infinity pool was a dream come true.
The Condo (5CS) is located in the El Cantil Condominium Resort in San Miguel.
The Condo’s location offers the close proximity to all that San Miguel de Cozumel has to offer. With a grocery store, movie theatre and park across the street and plenty of restaurants and bars a short walk or taxi ride away, you can choose from many entertainment options our lovely Cozumel island town has available.
When we are not living in our Cozumel, Mexico home, our USA home is in Pflugerville, Texas where Jeff operates a State Farm Insurance Agency and I manage our vacation rentals. We spend our time stateside with our family, friends and busy in our volunteer service positions within our Rotary District and Rotary Club.
