WATER & ELECTRICITY USAGE Due to the unique location and environment of Costa del Sol, our community does not have the infrastructure of a resort. It is important that all residents and guests are careful not to waste water or electricity so that we can help to preserve our beautiful piece of heaven. We believe that if we all act responsibly with our scarce resources, we can better preserve this paradise for many years to come.

WATER Water in the house goes through a water conditioner and U /V water filtration system to kill any bacteria and viruses.  Our water is maintained, is safe & sanitary, and bottled water is not required; however, we provide bottled water for those who prefer it. Extra water is located in the Laundry Room or Guest Closet which we also keep supplied at all times for hurricanes, storms or outages.

AIR CONDITIONING Each room has an individual air conditioner with remotes. Please do not remove the remotes from their respective rooms. Air conditioning is expensive in Cozumel; we ask that you please turn off air conditioners in rooms when:  not needed in the villa, windows are open or you are not in the villa.  Please turn all a/c’s off when you leave the villa for the pool / beach / excursions / departure.

The a/c units are able to cool their respective rooms within 15 minutes of being powered back on by remote, so pre-cooling is not necessary.  Best practice is to keep the bedroom systems off during the day and the common rooms off during the sleeping hours and all systems off when leaving the Costa Del Sol property. Typical comfortable temperatures range from 21-24 degrees centigrade. To operate the remote – Press On/Off button while pointing remote at A/C.

SAFE The villa safe is located on the shelf in the laundry room and fastened to the concrete wall. To set up your own combination, follow the instructions located on the front of the safe. Please make sure to push the reset button prior to setting your own code.

MUSIC Amazon Alexa Echo devices provide music, weather services and the ability to lock/unlock the front door. To use the devices, say “Alexa”, followed by the command. This could be type of music, artist or station or “lock the door”, “what is the weather”,” play Kenny Chesney music”.  As a Kenny Chesney island music fan, I have created a playlist, “Kenny Island playlist” and “Vacation Playlist” which you are welcome to use.

Periodically, there are internet connectivity issues to parts of the island. If you need immediate internet service there are several internet Café’s in town.
